Luxury Camps are a unique and opulent way to experience the vast Thar Desert while still enjoying the safety and comforts of a hotel.
Queen of Thar Desert Camp Jaisalmer is designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible while still maintaining a traditional desert camp ambience.
We have 20 luxury camps with comfortable mattresses, quality bedding and marbled floors to make you feel like a Maharani or Maharaja. Each camp has its own private bathroom with a Western toilet, shower, washbasin, mirror, toiletries, premium towels and running hot water.
In addition, while each camp has its own verandah, our camp has two spacious seating areas where friends and couples can lounge and families can relax as they watch their children have fun in the camp’s playground.
You can relax in your luxury tent, or our open seating areas, while we arrange all the fun and thrilling activities to make your stay memorable.
Our friendly and attentive staff are knowledgeable about the desert environment and culture and will be on hand to ensure you have a memorable experience.

Cultural Program
Staying at Queen of Thar Desert Camp allows you to experience the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan, with traditional music and dance followed by authentic Rajasthani dinner. But you can also enjoy the entertainment in our folk dance performance area and the cuisine even if you do not stay in one of our luxury tents.
The evening cultural program at Queen of Thar Desert Camp is a magical show of tribal dances performed by local artists, including Kalbeliya (graceful snake charming dance), Bhavai (balancing clay pots), Chakri (energetic twirling dance) and fire dancing. The dancers wear exquisitely decorated traditional dress with bodice (angrakhi), long flowing skirt (ghagra) and veil (odhani), and jewellery on the head, arms and feet.
Dancers perform to traditional Rajasthani folk music performed by local musicians, with the Dolak (two-headed hand drum), Khartal (a pair of wooden hand-clappers), harmonium and dol drum, and they sing historical, passionate ballads of love, sorrow and triumph.
